Appointments

All diagnostic imaging procedures must be recommended by your physician and require a physician order. Your physician’s office staff can assist you with your appointment or you can schedule your procedure directly with us. We will work with your physician’s office to obtain authorization with your insurance carrier for your MRI procedure.

We cannot accept walk-ins. We will schedule once a referral is received.

For patients with insurance, you will be required to pay any deductibles or co-insurance dictated by your insurance plan at time of service. Our staff will call your insurance company to get the best estimate of what you will owe for the procedure. Please remember this is just an estimate. The final patient amount owed will be determined after your insurance company processes your claim.

Please remember to bring your driver’s license and whichever of the following that applies to you: Insurance card, Medicare card, or Worker’s Compensation carrier information and the date of your injury.

Questions/Concerns about your MRI Appointment

Everyone has questions and concerns, so we placed them in one easy-to-find place: Frequently Asked Questions about MRI appointments.

Cancellation/Rescheduling of an MRI Appointment

It is extremely important for you to keep your scheduled appointment. If an emergency prevents you from keeping it, please call our office prior to your scheduled appointment time, to cancel or reschedule. This simple step will prevent unnecessary delays for all of our patients.

Your early cancellation will allow us to re-allocate your time to another patient. Therefore, to cancel or reschedule an MRI appointment we require that you call at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time.

To cancel an appointment, please call 510-856-4800 to speak with the MRI Coordinator. If you cancel 24 hours prior to your appointment you will not incur any charges, and we will assist you with rescheduling your appointment. We will reschedule you for the next appointment time we have available that accommodates your schedule.

Late Cancellations

Late cancellations will be considered a “no-show” and you will be billed $50.00.

No-Show Policy

A “no-show” is someone who doesn’t arrive for their appointment or doesn’t cancel their appointment at least 24 hours in advance. A $50.00 charge will be billed to the patient for no-show appointments.

Two or more MRI late-cancellations or “no-shows” will result in the inability to schedule with our facility.
