Castro Valley Open MRI was created out of a direct need within our healthcare community to better serve the patients in Castro Valley, California and its surrounding areas. Currently there are very few Open MRI facilities in this area, causing inconvenience to the patient and referring physicians. We feel strongly that we can decrease the cost of Open MRI diagnostic testing to the patient and carrier.
Our Mission
Our mission is to make the patient experience one that is easy, sensitive to their needs, and ultimately as cost effective as possible. Report turn-around to referring physicians is within 24 hours, decreasing delays in treatment.
We are proud to maintain ultimate flexibility when scheduling our patients, and will add scheduled hours to make scheduling convenient.
What is an MRI?
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) uses a magnetic field and radio waves to create detailed images of the soft tissues and organs in your body. The magnetic field temporarily aligns the water molecules in your body and radio waves cause these aligned particles to produce very faint electrical signals. These signals are used to create the MRI images.
